On the morning of September 10, 2024, the Optoelectronic Technology Association of Guangdong Province organized a scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting in Zhuhai to evaluate Shadow Tech (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd.

After carefully listening to the project report, reviewing appraisal materials, and conducting in-depth inquiries and discussions, a panel of seven experts unanimously agreed that the project successfully passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal. The overall technology was recognized as domestically leading.
To overcome the challenges of traditional optical touch technology, Shadow Tech’s project developed five key algorithms—including fast recognition of multi-touch points—that creatively address limitations such as restricted interactive area, inaccurate touch recognition, poor anti-interference performance, and false triggering. According to tests conducted by a third-party professional institution, the technology achieves:
– Touch latency of less than 10ms
– Touch accuracy with less than 1-pixel error
– Support for at least 20 touch points
– Maximum interactive area equivalent to a 300-inch screen
These significantly enhance the fluency of interaction between users and devices, delivering a superior user experience.
The project has applied for 3 invention patents and obtained:
– 15 utility model patents
– 1 design patent
– 18 software copyrights
Additionally, Shadow Tech participated in drafting the group standard “Technical Specification for Light Health LED Devices.”
By integrating self-developed optical touch technology with projection systems, DLP display technology, in-house designed interactive whiteboard software, and an optimized Android system, Shadow Tech has innovatively launched China’s first smart touch-interactive projection product. This achievement marks a step forward in industrial application and expands the product’s potential use cases, strongly promoting the commercialization of optical touch interactive technology.
At the appraisal meeting, the experts listened to a detailed presentation by Ms. Xia Jingmei, CEO of Shadow Tech, and conducted thorough examinations and discussions around the technology. The panel highly praised the technology’s high precision, sensitivity, and user experience, affirming its broad application prospects in fields such as education and business. They also expressed expectations for further innovation and growth driven by this technology.
Passing this scientific and technological achievement appraisal reflects high recognition of Shadow Tech’s innovation capabilities and technical strength.
