To fully implement the spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress and its subsequent plenary sessions, further promote the coordinated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the three key provincial projects of Cantonese Cuisine Chefs, Guangdong Skilled Workers and Nanyue Housekeeping, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangdong Province co-hosted the 2022 Guangdong “Mass Innovation Cup” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition with relevant authorities. The competition aims to stimulate the entrepreneurial and innovative enthusiasm of scientific researchers, college students, skilled talents, migrant workers, new-type farmers, people with disabilities and other groups, and facilitate the effective connection between entrepreneurial projects, venture capital, supportive policies and professional entrepreneurial services, thereby igniting the innovation and entrepreneurship boom across Guangdong.
As a specialized track of the Guangdong “Mass Innovation Cup” Competition, the Overseas Returnee Technology Pioneer Competition set up five competition zones in Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Shantou, Hong Kong-Macao and Taiwan, covering 21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions. The Shantou Competition Zone covers 12 cities including Shantou, Zhanjiang and Chaozhou, attracting a large number of high-caliber talents such as returned overseas students, masters, doctors, scientific researchers and professional technicians. Most participating projects feature high technological content, groundbreaking innovation and promising development prospects. After the semi-final selection, a total of 24 outstanding projects, including 12 enterprise group projects and 12 team group projects, advanced to the provincial final. The grand final of the 2022 Guangdong “Mass Innovation Cup” Overseas Returnee Technology Pioneer Competition was held at Zhuhai Resort Hotel from November 19 to 21.
The final competition was held as scheduled on November 21, 2022. A total of 42 elite enterprises from various industries competed fiercely on the same stage. Since the preliminary round launched in October 2022, Shadow Technology stood out through successive rounds of competitions, advancing steadily from the preliminary and intermediate contests to the grand final, and finally won the Bronze Award with outstanding strength.
